Who ever reads blogs anyway? Journalists, authors, speakers, researchers, and students possibly. So if you're not offended already, I'm so glad you're reading my blog thanks!
I've been listening to Thomas Feedman's "The World is Flat 3.0" talk at MIT and one thing stood out to me in particular - he said that in the Flat World 1.0 countries competed against each other. After that however, Multi-National Corporations came along in the Flat World 2.0 and companies were the focus of global competition.
But today, because of the enormously accelerated globalisation of the world through technology and several other "flatteners", in the Flat World 3.0, globalisation has progressed to the level where individuals, no matter where they are in the world, compete with each other directly.
And so, in thanks to globalisation, each of us can start uploading and sharing our products, services, and knowledge with anyone else in the world. So here's to my start at uploading my thoughts, and to your reading of my and other people's uploads - may my uploads be of a decent quality and may your downloads be fast, helpful and inspiring!
